the new cure/joy division/maybe interpol/ album and that box is leaving town.

so i haven't decided whether or not i will skip school next week but i want to thank those who have let me know what they think - mishi who remined me that i am on vacation afterall, teresa who said i'm gonna forget 50 percent of anything i've leaned a month after being home anyways, issy who said just have fun and the garbs who told me i was asking the wrong guy because he'd already be at the beach. ok. good solid ideas.
i may try switching classes first and see if taking a step backwards may help - i'm not sure if it's because i'm slow or if it's just that different people learn differently and...well, i'm slow. anyhow...i'll decide. soon.
i decided to box up some clothes i had brought along and have never worn, even for a second. i was told it would be cold at night - it's not so one hoodie, a dickies jacket and fleece are in the box. i brought one pair of shoes and then bought another and never wear the previous so in the box they go. add a few of this and that and my backpack is 15 pound lighter. now, i don't have a great deal of faith in the mexican mail service so maybe i'll see this stuff again - maybe not. so be it.
today when i was with luiz i really tired to speak more spanish than we regularly do, it was good. sure my sentences are broken but it's better than none at all - which is kinda what happens in class. (many in our class bummed because it's 95% writing and such and not a lot of chat...which we're suppose to do...and when it came up the other day our teacher said we didn't know enough to chat. nice. sure we talk like four year olds....but we're not gonna get to talk like 5 or 6 or 12 year olds just writing things down. just sayin.) and later on i went by the ice cream shop and did the same with kaylyn. broken spanish with help when i needed it. i may have learned more today with luiz and kaylyn that in the last two days or more of school. and i may not remember it all, or much but, as richard says, saying the words makes them go into your head and saying them more and more and more, makes them stick better than writing them over and over....
ok...
my musical selection for today is abe vigoda. their new album is crush and if you miss the cure, kinda, or need a little - a little - joy divison sadness, please take a listen...nice. for tonight. for you.

night night.
