walkin' tall...

the one thing, or one of the things i like about first being off a show and away from the salt mine is being able to get shit done. which is kinda what i do at work but this shit is shit i need to get done. and i get to do it at a pace i like. and days like today are the best ones to get shit done. period.
today's action was great. walked to my chiro appointment at 4th and macdonald, walked back and then headed up to granville to have a look at the neil wedman show - super duper! then up to 12th and granville to look at some glass frames at eyes on twelfth. afterwards a walk down to cafe bica near west 2nd to have a coffee and chit chat with senor mushet. there was a lot of catching up to do so it was good to have the time to do it.

then it was downtown across the burrard st. bridge. it was there really that i really realized how nice the day was. trucking across the bridge, seeing some touristas, and folks on bikes and other people making their way downtown. it was good.
i made my way to robson and my bank, then another eyeglass store and then decided to try out the tacofino truck for some lunch. i had mentioned to garvie once, probably twice, that i had not tried any of the food trucks in vancouver - something i do in other cities - and she said that maybe while i was off that i should make a go of trying some...so today i was gonna try 'he who can not be named on the blog's favorite, tacofino. so i found their truck and asked for a fish taco...'oh, sorry. we can't make any more fish tacos we're out of salsa'. oh ok. so i asked for a pork burrito. 'oh sorry. we just ran out of pork'. ok. maybe tomorrow.
and since i was out on a long walk i decided to make it even longer and walked over the cambie bridge and up to la taqueria.
great idea.

then, after a short trip to granville island to see mishi and pick up some goods for dinner....i'm home and making bbq sauce from scratch and getting ready to stoke up the bbq and do some winter grilling.
nice.
have fun!
