first things first....
a very happy valentine's day to the woman i love, ailsa garvie brown...though i am having fun out here, i miss you and love you. xo
today didn't start out so well. when i couldn't find my toiletries bag - i had already left my towel at zach and julie's so i thought maybe i had left it there as well...so after buying a collapsible toothbrush at the truck stop i was getting a shower at, i knew i needed to go and buy a whole new set of crap to keep myself smelling pretty and nasal passages clear. fucked. (i later found it not where it should have been - after a few emails back and forth to julie asking her to please have a look....)
anyhow. all's well.
it was a big day of driving but the weather does make it a little hard to keep the 80 mph rate i like. snow and rain make it hard sometimes and i'm getting better at realizing it's not a race and slowing down when required. or prudent. or both.
today started in south dakota - in a days inn parking lot - and ended, or is ending right now, in a comfort inn parking lot, in indiana - near gary. so for those scoring at home today's total is south dakota, minnesota, winconsin, illinois and indiana. tomorrow michigan then into ontario.
i'm sleepy.
