fit in friday....maybe.

the funny thing about toronto is...well, a few things. in a minute.
so i made my way though indiana and into michigan - home of the mighty tigers and red wings, and after a short stop there...and i'll say this. i love those teams and the history of detroit but, that town is a dump. and it's sad. that it is a dump. that it is what it has become. it's a ghost town. so, after a trip to the tiger's team store, it was time to head back to canada.
and here's where toronto and the 401 highway and such becomes so very toronto. there are no milage signs on the highway, initially to tell you how far it is to toronto. the signs say basically, this way to london and toronto. and away you go. it isn't until you have passed london do they say that toronto is 177 kms away. and away you go. then when you get into the toronto area, unless you know the street names you're looking for and know when to turn down into the city, you could pass the city altogether. seriously. i almost did that my first trip here over twenty years ago. in most cities it says, for instance, 'downtown vancouver this way...' to city centre, to arts district, business district....not here. you just have to figure it out. for yourself.
and once here i decided to finally get rid of this hair on my face. get a shave. back to the fresh faced garn. so right across the street from bill's tattoo shop is the crowsnest. a hipster barber shop where all the guys would love to be members of social distortion and are heavy into the sailor jerry tattoos and being cool...so bill and i went in to see if i could get a shave. well, they may be able to fit me in friday. maybe. 'we're pretty busy' said a guy sitting in one of the chairs fucking with his ipad looking at openings i may be able to fit in to...friday or....so after all the talk one guy said that maybe today, at closing, he may be able to do it. maybe. so i said i'd talk to them tomorrow and see how it was.
i'll find somewhere else.
today's it's tatoo touch up day, look at some glasses at some shops, eat some food...
etc....
