more matt, more fed/ex bullshit.

those of you who read this any regularity know that i have had, in the past, problems with mail and, more specfically, FED/EX. a while back, when i bought a new laptop from apple canada - the one i am presently typing on, fed/ex sent it to the wrong address and let someone, not me, sign for it. nice. i have also gotten mail that should have been for my neighbours, in my mailbox. i have also gotten mail for people who live across the street in 1 east cordova st., not 22 east cordova st. same apt. number, different building. this has happened twice in recent months with someone i am familar with. a friend of friends, a local celebrity also, if you will. twice i have gotten mail/packages for matthew good. as in the matthew good band. as in canadian rock and roller matt good. we have mutual friends so it has been easy enough for me to get his stuff to him. last night when i came home there was a fed/ex package outside my door - just sitting there. i was all excited because i thought it was my new dzama painting sent from LA. nope. it was for matt. i phoned rod, friend of matt's, and told him the news. he and matt were having dinner at a local joint so i went over and gave them the goods - which, as it turned out, was his latest record contract with EMI....funny. i coulda signed that sucker and sent it back. next time. so all's well that ends well. but you may want to think twice before using fed/ex. you never know where it may end up.

ok. i need a snack.
