the long cut

last week my pal byron asked me if i was still doing lawn order....i told him lawn order was still a very real thing and what could i do for him?....well, because of the civic strike in vancouver his baseball team's field, maclean park near commercial drive, isn't getting cut...and could i cut it...i guess so. i told him if any union dudes came by and asked what was up and asked me to stop, i would...so last night the garbs and i went at it. and an hour and a half into it a parks board civic union guy - who said he had been on the picket line most of the day (which must have been at the local legion), asked me to stop. kind of. he let us cut a little more and then asked us to stop. after he wandered away, to pass out, i thought of keeping going for longer than he told us we could go but my spidey senses told me to stop. we got a lot done but...not all. thanks to the garbs for helping out....
