Yesterday was technically a day off/day of rest but I didn’t start it off that way. I decided to knock off a couple of lawns in the morning and wash the elephant as it was getting kinda rancid and dirty….sometimes it ends-up with grass tucked into every nook and cranny of the inside – which is so great for my allergies. Afterwards I went home and had a shower and quick clean-up and then went and picked-up penelope. I haven’t seen her much as of late and wanted to touch base with her and hang out. We went and sat in the courtyard at caper’s on fourth, where we ran into dan who had had a slightly scary kayak trip – but all’s well that end’s well…they make a decent fruit shake/smoothie at caper’s. if ya care.
We then walked down fouth ave and then down to kits beach where there was suppose to be a sand castle thing going on but there was actually only one ‘castle’ thingy and it was actually a ford car – kind of. There were a couple more traditional castles next to it but it was all about the car. Cool. I guess.
Penelope’s leaving for winnipeg soon so I’m trying to see her for a few dinners before she goes as well and help her with storing her car and apartment goods…I think her car is gonna live at issy’s place and maybe a few boxes as well…that issy, she’s a keeper. Thanks issy.
Last night corie had a impromptu bbq at his place so shauna, ang and I dropped by the caper’s on cambie and grabbed a few things to cook-up – we nabbed some bison burgers, a variety of olives and some fancy chips.…kristie and carl – the bbq king – were there as well, so it was a little bbq party action to christen his new deck – which is still a little ways from being completely done but still great. Alas, there still are no patio lanterns or any kim mitchell but give it time. Corie had grabbed some crazy ‘meat pucks’ at meinhardt and was giving them shit on the bbq…one of them should last a normal man days. I think carl had more than that. but he was on painkillers so he may not have known what he was doing.
All in all a great night of bbq. Thanks mr. tornack.
