yesterday was a bit of a blur. i tried to get an early start on the day but fell a little behind for no real reason other than i was busy and maybe a little slow on the uptake.
i grabbed the garbs, thank god for him, and went and gathered the mowers and headed off to the dog lawn in richmond. we knocked that off pretty quickly but still had to do a drop-by at louise's to figure out the lawncutting/kitty sitting shitola. garbs is gonna help out with both so i should be able to manage it well enough.
we then headed over to see andy and julie's new place on chester street, which is just down the block from dr. rob abd karen k. maybe they'll become neighbours in the old fashioned sense. bbq's, borrowing sugar, etc. nice. the garbs and i gave andy's yard a mow and tried to get it back to it's former glory. it's needs some TLC to be sure but should be fine.
then it was off to cut jessica's lawn and then off to drop off the gear and on to bosa for a snack. the garbs had a couple snacks.
i dropped the garbs off at the island and then went and got shauna and begin the 'hanging out' portion of the day. then i did an very adult thing - just like a real grown-up. i went, after talking to a lot of folks and getting some reasonable information, and bought a new bed. or at least a mattress. i don't need a boxspring - what am i a geezer? i will need a framey kind slat thing for the top of my platform but....that's cheap and not a boxspring.
had an early dinner at poontango's with mr. tornack and then headed home to watch the Bourne movies. the new one is out now but i'd like to refresh my memory by seeing the old ones again. love him or hate him, them Bourne movies is good.
ok. back to cleaning the house.

friday night i went with shauna and angie over to kenneth's place in The Hub building on main street. he's a friend of a friend of shauna's who just moved here from toronto. there was lot of cheese and such. i paid later on for that. and a woman there who recognized me as the guy from Lawn Order. nice.
