i was excited yesterday with the prospect of the new lawn mowing season. i was. and then, as if on cue, the rain came and took away any good feelings that were there. i am back to hating this town. and town it is. this olympic city is a shithole. in the 20 minutes i was out driving around, i encountered/witnessed a driving move so insane i had to follow the driver to see what type of person makes such a move, road construction on robson, pender, codova and burrard, no one using a turning signal-NO ONE!, pedestrians with complete disregard for the signals they are to watch when crossing the street and open drug dealing. yup, it's vancouver. our soon-to-be olympic city. maybe there should be a section of canada house that's a drug kiosk so people from around the world can sample our local wares.
anyhow. the lawncutting season will have to wait another day or two...which is so great for my depression. and the even sadder fact about it all is that, without being able to cut grass today, this town offers me nothing else. i am now back home and will remain here until later on today when i meet up with marcy and then later hockey with the bombers. but until sixish, i will be here, looking out the window, somehow resisting the urge to hurl myself off the balconey. these really are the good times.
