must be sunday.
today was the day that i was to take all of my cd's to zulu. and so it was at noon today i packed-up the car with four large bags and a duffle bag full of cd's and some vinyl and one dvd and away i went to zulu over on fourth to see if i could let go. and i have. so far. they're there right now, still, being sorted through my mark and in time i will know what the deal is. i'm sure i'll be bring a lot back or to other cd tade places but we'll see. it's sad in a way but also very liberating. the shelves are bare but it feels ok-right now anyways.
also today, the first real look at the first completed 'garbis industries' laptop bag. it looks great, the garbs really did a great job of it. it's pretty clear that i will not be making a career being a laptop bag magnate-did i spell that corectly? anyhow...the profit margin is pretty low but i don't care...the bag looks great and i think with the quality of sewing etc., they'll sell just fine and people should and will hopefully see that and pay the few extra bux more..maybe not. we're not employing kids (yet) so it costs more to make...where else ya gonna get a cool glitter vinyl laptop bag? we/garbs is also gona make some cool plain glitter vinyl laptop sleeves as well...the kids have asked for 'em so we're gonna make 'em...if you want to see a bag up close and personal contact me and i'll make sure you see one.
after a hard day of sewing a guy needs a sandwich so i took the garbs up to meinhardt for an overpriced but very tasty sandwich..not too many self-absorbed rich folks today so it was ok...
