let's take larry on the ferry and go see grannie!

this morning, too early, shauna, ang and i headed over to vancouver island to go see my grannie....it was her birthday today - she's 100. yup...ella turned 100 years old today and it just wouldn't have been right if we didn't make the trek over there and see her. and really, she looks great and besides using a walker, rocks and rolls like she always has. i never get over there and feel badly about that but now's not the time for regret, just a great time to be there for ella...and for issy. so many of ella's pals were there as well as many of my cousins, many of which i have not seen since my last visit over to port alberni some seven or eight years ago...it really was a great shindig put on for ella...i love you grannie- more to come!
after the small triangle sandwich party we headed to floyd's. he lives in nanoose bay not far from naniamo...he had promised us dinner and we were hungry so...and it was a great feast....ribs and all the good stuff that went with them...mixed veggies, wild rice and for desert ice cream with some wicked blackberry sauce that floyd had made...nice work.
it was a big day and i was happy that ang and shauna came along to meet ella and celebrate her birthday...and then to go have some grub at floyd's...thanks floyd!
