what?
ok. i'm sure it means more than i know but, i was over at jj bean today, minutes ago really, and grady - one of the big wigs at jj bean, was, along with another slick looking hipster, giving or conducting a little test on one of the baristas asking all sorts of brewing and shot prep and pulling questions. and, in the course of asking the questions - how long to pull certain espressos, the fruitiness of certain blends, etc...i heard grady say to the barista dude, "i love the way you flirt with the drip...." wow. i may have to make a t-shirt. and i may have to go back to drinking straight drip if i know some guy is flirting with my drip. i know coffee brewing, to jj bean and other roasters, is a big deal and more like wine making every day but, really, it's just coffee. gut rotting caffeine.
ok.
cam and i went over to blair's ambleside brewing company today to have a look at his sign which is in need of some repair...blair had gotten us a old wooden ladder from his neighbours, which, after i came down off of, the last rung broke and in the process broke the side support as well..nice. makes a guy feel like a bit of a chump but, whether it was me or a 100lber it would have broken, but it just happened to be me. figures, try and help a guy and you wreck something in the process....sorry blair. but his new sign will be great in the end.
after that we headed to sebastian and co. fine meat in dundarave. and i'll say this about that - if you like beef jerky, i mean, really like beef jerky, it's awesome there. they also specialize in organic meats and while not cheap, it all looks great and next time i'm gonna bbq i'm gonna give it a go.
and speaking of bbq, i bought myself a griddle today that goes on my bbq at home giving me a nice flat surface to do everything from heating tortillas to grilling prawns and pancakes...shit, i'll cook bacon outside now...next will be the rotisserie attachment...
ok..
i'm mr. pickle again so please come on down...
