gardeners, tools and a visit with miss marcy.

these plants are gonzo soon.

turns out i have gardeners - did i already tell you this..? - anyhow...the other day i heard some rummaging going on outside on my deck, and when i looked out there, there he was - a gardener dude..and not only him or he, a woman as well. i have three big cement garden planters out there and they were tending to them, raking, using all sorts of tools...i'm a little weirded out by it i have to say. i was also looking out there and really, a lot of the plants are gonna be turfed so...i may have to tell them to give my deck a pass very soon. i e.mailed marcy some photos of the stuff i have out there and she let me know we'd be taking care of it very soon. more vegetables, less crap...
marcy and i actually had lunch today after not seeing each other for a bit...love that girl. she's living out in the valley now, abbotsford, and living her life amongst the horses and hay...seriously...and i think it's so great she's found her zen...no joke. so great.
before i met up with marcy today i went on a little walk around...i made my way up to south granville, had a little snack at meinhardt and then did something very manly - made my way to cookworks on broadway to look at some...um...cooking stuff....i came away with a citrus press/squeezer and a garlic press. exciting i know. i also was looking at some la creuset cast iron pots. fuck, they's expensive...nice stuff though. i think i may have also developed a crush on the women who works there as well...she sells cookware and is super cute - how could i not?
ok.
tomorrow's thursday - you know what that means...

once you go french cast iron- you'll never go back.
