holy crap. 98 degrees today out at the old ball park. after my shower and such at the truck stop i headed into Surprise-yes a town called surprise to go the texas rangers/kansas city royals facility. i was looking foir some swag and maybe to see a game there. the swag sucked so i headed over to see a game at tempe diablo stadium, home of the angels. but i was stunned to find out it was sold out-had been for a week. a game between the angels and breweres, sold out...makes no sense. and guys were scalping tickets for $50.00 and more...not for a spring traing game my friend. nope. fuck that. so i then made my way over to scottsdale stadium to see the giants-rockies game. i hate barry bonds but have always liked the giants. he's a dick, everyone knows it and i just kinda try and ignore that he's part of that team. kinda like what i did when troy glaus was part of the angels. bonds played three innings and then called it a day and left. that's the nature of spring training-the stars play a little (although a lot play a lot...) and the new guys pick-up the rest.
it was so freakin' hot today. and i had a shitty seat initially but moved to a great seat after the fifth inning or so. i am happy now to be moving back west-i think. the heat will lessen and i'll be able to ride/drive with the windows open instead of the a/c on full. but thatnk someone for that a/c...i'm not sure how i did it before without it. i remember driving through the desert in larry and it being over 100 degrees for days on end and i just took it and kept going. it was like driving in a blast furnace...thsoe may not have been the good times.
ok...i need to hit the road.
