when i was young(er)

i helped write a song once. maybe even more than once. but this one actually made it to the recording stage.
i was in new york city and it was either there or back in vancouver that i wrote down some of the words i had thought in NYC. i had written them down on a napkin and showed them to my pal lisa marr, then of cuddlecore group cub. she took it. added some more lyrics and music and a song was born. i had written the words about someone and now remember that time well. makes me kinda sad but it's all fine. life moves along and as i listened to this song tonight i was reminded of that.
i came across lisa's website tonight and was impressed by her body of work and was kinda proud of her and her deep indie spirit and just her will to get it done-whatever it is. i feel inspired, once again, to try and finish my painting. it sucks but it's mine-i made it. and i may even make another one. some day.

have a listen to the song-if ya want.
