taxes, helping out a bomber in need and cutting it low

michelle's dad's place..lookin' good.

ladies and gents, the new lawn order shirt. nice.

today was all about getting stuff done that i have been avoiding for some time. nothing major just writing cheques for things i don't really wanna write cheques for...taxes, gst, etc...just shit. my accountant is up in deep north van and going there is a chore i don't really dig, but today i killed another bird while up there so it was well worth it. my good pal and fellow bomber, craig, hurt his rib in our last game and couldn't cut his lawn. he e.mailed me this morning and asked if i would cut it for him...no problem. initially i was gonna do it friday but i was afraid it would rain and i'd be fucked so...today it was. former, and i guess, current, ODDS member, doug elliott was there today as well when i got there to cut the lawn. he had e.mailed me, as well, about cutting his grass while he's away in july so he got to check out the cut i was doing at craig's before he had to commit to getting me to cut his place. i think i got the gig. they were busy working on new ODDS tracks. funny, i appreciate and like the ODDS music much more now than i did when it was rockin' the airwaves. maybe i just didn't get it the first time or maybe i was an indie prick/snob or something, but man, them guys could and can really write a good song. today i heard a track that i really liked. the thing i hate about guys like craig and doug is how effortlessly they play. in a million years i couldn't play like that. i hope craig gets better by the time the playoffs come around, i like having him out on the ice.
i also ran into paul who is a big part of the BOC team when we do a show. he makes me look good. that's the truth. i've had a lot of drivers and they're just drivers for me, paul is much more than that, he's a big part of the wheel we all make-up - and he's good lookin'.
i went by my pal michelle dad's place today and gave his lawn a nice short cut and also dropped by north shore studio to give tamara her new baby blue lawn order shirt. that blue really looks good with the lawn order logo...the bomber uniforms are that color as well and are really sharp lookin'.
my last lawn today was lisa's in the west end and as part of the cut i always cut the lawn of the woman next door to lisa's. she's an older woman who owns this huge house and her lawn is connected to lisa's and really only takes me an extra few minutes to cut but it all looks better if it's all cut. she came out today and asked if i would cut the grass along the side of her house in the alley. no problem. she asked me how much and i told her not to worry, i'd just do it. she gave me a look so i said, "i hear you're a good baker..", "yes i am..." she said and smiled...i got down to cutting.
when i was done she came out and gave me some money, which i tried to refuse, but she told me to take it and told me that next time she would bake me a cake. it's true, i heard from lisa that she was and is an excellent baker/cook...so this should be good.
yams and sausages for dinner....good times...
