lawns and small dogs....
i wasn't very quick on the uptake today.
i spent almost all morning looking out the window at the rain and clouds. oh, and watching bob barker say his final. "help control the pet population. have your pet spade or neutered." yup, it's all over for bob - which may not be true as he's said if CBS can't find a replacement for him, he'll come back and do some more shows until they can....back to the weather - it sure sucks. i know we need the rain and it helps keep the lawns kinda green and growing and the forests doing their thing but...enough.
after years of living next door to it, i finally actually went through the doors of the Warehouse, the recording studio a block away owned by brian adams. friend and fellow bomber bryan gallant runs the show there and was taking my old subwoofer off my hands, so i took it over to him today. he gave me a short tour and i realised, as i went in, that i didn't have my camera with me...i knew dave ogilvie - also a pal and bomber - was inside working and i could have gotten some good shots of the boys at work...next time. they're making music magic in there doncha know?
i then headed to commercial drive where the network was having coffee and roaming around and gave her a new lawn order t-shirt - hers being a nice bright red color. there are a lot of different colors of the old lawn order shirts now...kelly green, white, light blue, red...nice.
then it was off to richmond to cut the dog lawn and then to south van to cut louise's lawn just off knight street....she came home as i was finishing up her back yard (pardon?) and was sporting her new bright blue - like mine and megan's, lawn order hoodie...it, coupled with her red pants, made quite a picture in her yard.
on my way back to the shop world famous rocker ani kyd called me up asking about getting her lwan cut..i had done a drive-by the other day and kind knew what i was in for and told her i'd give her the friends and family deal and headed on over and gave it a go. when i got there the network was there visiting as well and i got to see ani's small chiuauaua chewbacka dog..the world's smallest dog..once again i didn't have my camera ready..i was slow today...next time. the lawn looked pretty good in the end...and then it was off to hand in a timesheet at vancouver studios, for a show i worked on almost three weeks ago...better late than never.
then it was dinner time....i met penelope at topanga and we ate like champs...it was busy there and it seemed like everyone had decided to bring their pooing and spitting machines (kids) there tonight, plus, there were a bunch of pregnant women there as well...what the hell?
ok...i need to have a nap soon - bombers hockey tomorrow...and we're gonna be short players. marc moved away, pete can't play and corie is in calgary drinking at a wedding....we'll do our best....
have fun.
