bad day for luongo, great day for a burrito and lcd dance party

night night.

oh, i just don't know what to say. sure, the canucks are out of the playoffs and i'd be lying if i said i wasn't happy about it. am i happy how it all went down, well, truthfully, sure. don e.mailed me to voice his disgust with the last hit thrown by rob n. in the game that led to his brother scott scoring the winning goal. and i know how it looked but if you watch the replay, the head was at shoulder level, the hit was made and then the arm came up making it look more like an elbow shot, but even the vancouver sportscasters agree, good hit. and if bobby lou had just paid attention no goal would have been scored. anyhow...game over. enought hockey talk. see ya on the links.
afterwards brian and i headed over to red burrito for an after game snack and after i drove him to his car i decided to head over to the commodore to see what was happening at the LCD SOUNDSYSTEM show. i really wanted to go initially but had lost a bit of steam regarding it but thought, since i was out, that i would drop by. aaron was working the door, weird, and while i was talking to him a couple of old pals showed up - jay scott and sue angle. it was like a reunion. jay had an extra ticket and asked if i wanted it. i said i hadn't decided if i had it in me to go. he and sue headed in and he gave the ticket to aaron to give away. after a little more chit chat i decided i would go. i'm old but i do like to rock once in a while.
my review is this- some of it was great, some of their music, however, just doesn't translate well to the live experience. nonetheless, i'm glad i went even if i can't hear now. ok...i need to watch a little ER now....

night.

It just wasn't to be for the Canucks. The hit was a great, Hansen had his head down, rookie mistake, and it cost them. All the Ducks had to do was throw the puck at the net. If the Canucks had done that half as much they might have won.
Saw your team play Wed. night. Good to see you have been bumped up a few divisions, now you can have some competition.

Man, it's sure nice to see Jay again, isn't it? My blog has a picture of his awesome tattoo (in progress)!

And of course I love the Sue and the Chappy...

Sorry I missed it. Let me know next time you're doing perogies or whatevs. We can do cameo appearances in each other's blogs.
