white knuckle double dare
well, today happened, that's for sure.
i was up and at 'em by eight this morning after a loungefull night at the hotel...nice place really - watched a bad will smith movie and then sleet like a champ...actually it wasn't as good as the night before at the motel six...anyhow..i was out and on the road fresh as a daisy and that's all that matters...
it was a test of patience today - for me and for some i had to talk to - my poor spanish and their, maybe, worse english, but in the end it all worked out just fine...i did manage to mix-up two key words and ended-up on a regular highway instead of a pay/toll highway and was stuck often behind slower moving vehicles - some driven by motuh breathing geezers who maybe should not have been behind the wheel at all..but..all good.
ate some more suspect mystery meat tacos...pretty good stuff today complete with a condiment tray at my table...good stuff...though they, the women running the stand, a little weirded out when i gave them a tip - my pals here told they were probably wondering what i wanted for it, like another taco or...as i walked away they just kept looking at me....oh well...a little extra in their pocket tonight.
i managed to make it here, sayulita, after dark - which was of some concern to me as i was told to stay off the roads after dark but the dye was cast and i wasn't about to stop in the middle of nowhere - and if you saw the road i was on you wouldn't have either...
so i'm here now....terry and sheryl and i just finished up a great chat and it's time for some sleep....tomorrow i'm gonna try for relax mode - we'll see how that goes...
night night

in mexico they jump right up on your car to wash the windows...maybe you've actually stopped...maybe not.
nice. roadside mystery meat tacos.
feel the wind in your hair as you whip down the highway.
middle of somewhere.
