safety first and a camera update

the garbs believes in safety first when washing a car....

i took the garbs to the ferry yesterday morning so he could make it over to see bob, who's still in the hospital but doing much better...and after he had hung out at the hospital for a few hours, he was able to secure a ride back home with his aunt, who took him right to his door...pretty good...no one needs to be at a hospital for more than a few hours, let alone a hospital in victoria. bob was, apparently, pulling his gown over his head and showing off his new chest scar, and in the process showing off a lot of other things as well...
ok...the camera. if you've been paying attention you'd know i got my new canon camera stolen...yup...partially my fault, kinda, but, well, it's gone. but i have the guy's name and phone number who stole it. his name is paul and his number is 778.737.1364 and he lives up near main and 28th. i've called a few times and once spoken to him and once spoken to one of his room mates. the garbs has also called a couple of times and left messages. feel free to call him is you'd like. and you know, if paul didn't take the camera - like he says he didn't (even though i have two witness' who saw him - one who saw him in my car, one who saw him talking to me over the fence...), i'm willing to hear him out, in person. and if i'm wrong and it's not him...i'll a full apology and offer up some restitution. but, for now, according to those who have seen him the neighbourhood before and my witness who saw him in my car...i call him a thief.
a cop came by my place last night and we had an interesting discussion about what i should do - mainly because he admitted that they, the police, can't do anything, or at least not much. which i knew but thought i'd give the wheels of justice time to turn a little before i gave into my idea of frontier justice. (which is where i'm at now..) the cop said while he didn't want to say what i should do, he did say a little pressure and threatening may be a good thing in this case. make his life uncomfortable...so, why not?
so, if you happen to know paul, tell him i'd love to talk to him...and i will be talking to him eventually...having his phone number is a great first step. and the next is getting his address, which is already in the works. then it's just a matter of time.

alrighty...have a great sunday.
