a turkey toast to italo and the little fella

ya just never know.
ang had asked me the other day if i could drive her to point roberts to get something she had ordered and had had shipped there...sure, no problema. issy had decided to not do the big thanksgiving feast this year but since we were gonna be out there anyways, we'd drop-in and say hi...i gave larry a jumpstart and a quick rinse and let him run for a while to charge the battery and get the juices running. good for him. we had some tea with issy, she told us a few stories and then we were on our way back to town...it was good to see issy, as usual. she's a winner.
ang and i were gonna have thanksgiving dinner together but hadn't decided where as we headed back to town...mishi and the garbs were going to her cousin's place in kits and had told us we should just come there...i've had a lot of dinners with her extended family so why not one more...? i asked ang if she was into that and as i got a yes, we were on our way...and really, it was the right move. we had a great time...i think ang had a very, very good time...and ate like a champ.
when we were having our dinner and they did their traditional italian toast i have to admit i got a little choked-up. mishi's dad and her uncle italo used to do the toast, over and over, and while i'm not a big family dinner guy, i loved those guys...and i miss them when i'm in that situation. mishi's dad was so great, so fuckin' great as was italo...dinners with that family are different without them there.
debbie, mishi's cousin, is a real go-getter and loves to have family and friends around at all times...and it shows...a huge thanks to her for inviting us to her place and making us feel so welcome...the house was full of people and the food was great....i need a nap now...
tomorrow morning i get some sort of back scan at the new chiropractor guy i have now...i'm not sure what the deal is but, i'm hoping it does something or gives him an idea of what to do next...and then it's off to set on the big show for more rain making....
