tacos for tara...

...tanya and ailsa...i can't prove it but i made some wicked tacos last night - pulled pork, baked halibut, pico de gallo, green salsa and some veggies done with honey and lime. nice action. ailsa's pal tara is in town this weekend and we had her and her sister tanya over for some grub. it was good. i made, for the first time, a very nice - or least i think so - green salsa made from tomatillos - duh. i had always wanted to make a nice green salsa and yesterday was the day. (here's the recipe if you're so inclined...there are tons of recipes but this is the one i chose...) but it was super easy - a little roasting of the peppers, garlic and tomatillos and you're away. tara and tanya brought pie so it was a full meal deal...then i headed off to hockey and left the 'girls' to their own devices.
yesterday was a day of not much - nice new hair chop from k-win the world's best hair chopper....errands, cooking and a short visit to granville island for some goods and a little visit with mishi and the garbs...then dinnner.
today being super sunday means i'll watch, maybe, a quarter or two of the superbowl, probably see a movie with garvie and eat the left over taco fillings and then passout so i'm fresh for tomorrow's film making action.

have fun today....
