saucy or sassy...

it's a messy business getting ready for a bbq...and as i'm trying to make everything rather than 'order in', it can get downright unruly. the first sauce i made tonight - i'm making three different sauces for the housewarming bbq - went well. it's a traditional number - under ten ingredients more hot than sweet - , spicy, direct and just enough wham to make you think i'm up to something...(i don't even know what that means i just made it up and like how it sounds..)

the second tonight is a little more complex, yet still simple in it's approach. three bell peppers - red, yellow and green, simmered in honey with onions and a serrano pepper. then the other ingredients added and cooked for a while longer. then, and this is where it got interesting...sort of. at the end of the cooking, it goes into the blender and...well, gets blended. it just didn't seem to want to stay in the blender.

tomorrow i'll make the third sauce and hope it doesn't end-up everywhere. i hope you enjoy them when you dine here on saturday...

goodness.
