and so it begins...

i know, it's shitty out there...it really is. but don't despair - the bbq and all the fine food that comes along with it, is going ahead rain or shine. need be i have a pop-up tent that i can put on the deck and have it provide some shelter from the elements. i'm not scared, you shouldn't be either.
this morning i'm starting floyd's famous baked beans. i have found that while i can make them in a day, i like to slow cook them that extra little bit (a little being many more low temp. hours.) and they're just that much better. and for those of you who have been requesting them, i am now making a veggie-friendly version for you. so there will be a full throttle version and a somewhat lower octane version for those of you wearing panties.
tomorrow morning i'll be making my way to tenderland meats to buy the pork ribs, chicken and steak and then off to the fish monger to buy some halibut for the tacos. and you better like corn. i'll have some of that too.

ok. i was suppose to cut grass today but that'll be a game time decision.
