had some bad hair and was in some bad musical acts...lovingly referred to as 'fuck bands'...one such band was lou cooper with alice reed and the commotions. we played lou reed and alice cooper songs. we played the savoy a couple of times, a few parties and john barley's which later became the cruel elephant. issy saw lou cooper. a gig poster for the john barley's gig has resurfaced after many years as was posted on facebook by my pal scott who is a local punk rock historian. great guy. i would later record as I Weedeater, perform as Pepe Deluxe and sing with the likes of No fun, hard rock miners, zumpano and new wave-oke. why am i telling you this...? i dunno, i just am.

played hockey against the old dawgs last night..it was good. i have had new steel put on my skates and be it in my head or otherwise it feels better than the old steel so it was worth the money...i scored a couple last night and assisted on another one or two...good times..don't get me wrong, it's still about the economy of motion (read - doing exactly was required to get the job done not unlike work to rule....) but it feels good and i have some jump. nice. bombers game sunday. we have three more games until they move us up another division in the new year. from division seven to division three in one season...good lord, who do they think we are...?
heading over to vancouver island tomorrow morning to see floyd and have a our holiday dinner...i know it's a little early but schedules, busy ones, dictate such a thing so there. deal with it. shauna and i will be there for lunch and dinner so it's a pretty big day out for us...i just love the ferry...so great.
