a first for everything...

that was a day of cutting my friends. after picking-up my element at honda - and looking at a couple newer models i'm thinking of buying...maybe, maybe not...fuckin' car salesmen, fuckin' 'i have to go talk to my manager'....anyhow...it's exactly what i want to do right now, buy a newer car - never a new car, but a newer car. i mean, since i brought it up, when do i give up the ghost? cut my loses, so to speak. at 233,000 kms, it could go either way. run for 100,000 more or a big repair could be on the way. i have put a few bucks into that car over the last year, but it makes sense, right? lots of miles, and shit wears out...do i keep it and get my money's worth, hopefully, or do i take the small trade-in now and bolt to a 2006 model - of which there are a couple out there. any ideas on this would be great...and if you need an honda element that's been well taken care of mechanically but has a few bumps and bruises, maybe we can make a deal...a lot of new stuff on this elephant.
ok.
so after i paid the price at honda today it was off to play a bit of catch-up on the lawns...west end for one, kits for one, dunbar for two, richmond for a huge one, east van for two...my legs are telling me the tale right now. oh, and there was a wall outlet - duplex - repair as well along the way at topanga...i stopped in, saw raf and chelsey, had some lemonade, fixed the plug and then hit the road...it's gotta be worth a taco or something...
oh...i picked-up some ribs as well...because garvie had decided she'd like to have some ribs tonight, and i do love the ribs as well so...and a big thank-you to christian and erica who had brought me, as a housewarming gift, some dry rubs (pardon?) for just such things....and christian said that he knew i liked to make my own rubs but that these looked pretty good...and they were/are....and on a night when i'm tired and just wanna get grilling, they're perfect and super tasty! and in a first, we ate out on the deck at the super duper, seemingly, ever changing deck picnic table...it was great. i knew there was a reason i moved in here...
ok...ailsa made a pie and it's time to eat it...

have fun!
