i was just thinking...

for your information...the best part - one of the best parts of the year - is just days away. yup, it's opening day of the baseball season - mlb anyways. the days are longer, the hot dogs hotter and beer colder. sure, they're overpaid like the rest of the world's professional athletes (except the CFL...) but i love the game. a game, unlike hockey, that they - the brass - haven't fucked with (with the exception of the designated hitter rule) in forever. still nine innings regulation, no clock, no ties, play until it's over, baseball. no fancy equipment changes. no aluminum bats. no cheerleaders. just balls, bats and gloves. love it. mark sunday on your forehead.
soon there will be a new LCD Soundsystem album as well....may 18th i think - the day after the garbs' birthday...the day before miss marcy's birthday. i've heard a couple tracks and while it's no 'sound of silver', it sounds like, well, it sounds like LCD Soundsystem.
so what's up with the bike shops in town....? i have been looking for a new ride - now that my back is better unlike a year or so back when i could barely sleep or walk or...and biking around was a chore and, in fact, very, very painful...but i have a bike i like but the problem is, all the stores that sell that bike don't have one in my size for me to try out. they will, however, order me one in to have. see, have, not try. if they order it in, even though they are a dealer and it's not a custom bike i'm ordering, i am on the hook for it when it gets here, even if it doesn't fit correctly or, if i just don't like the feel of it. sounds great. i love the idea of paying for something i've never even sat on. perfect.
the bombers are playing a hockey tourney tomorrow - an all day affair over at ice sports in north vancouver, just off the mount seymour parkway. it's put on, i believe, by the north vancouver fire fighters and monies raised go towards the burn fund...our first game is at 9:15 a.m. with a total of four games all day...well, maybe six if we kick ass...so probably four games. so if you feel so inclined, come on out and see the bombers play some fun, not very intense, good times hockey. (with me protecting my ribs the entire time.)

ok. i'm off to meet the fawnz and her pal, donna, for lunch downtown, and then maybe off to cut a lawn afterwards...

have fun.
