a short time ago, a few months maybe, my shower water diverter hasn't been doing its job as well as it should and in this makes a lot of noise when i'm taking a shower. after you turn in the water and then pull the thingy up to divert the water from the tap/spout to the shower head, it makes a whistling sound not unlike the sounds ned beatty made in deliverance. and it goes on and on, sometimes stopping mid-shower, but generally goes the entire length of the shower...nice. so today i decided enough was enough and pulled off the spout thingy and made my way to the home depot to buy a new one...i should have done this ages ago, and while it's a simple thing that can have its own tests, i think i've made a bad thing better...good for me, good for my morning shower.
mishi came with me to the home depot and while we were at it, we hit the new canadian tire on cambie as well - this after having a nice snack at meinhardt - lindsay's not there this week but i think we'll make it through (but we are awaiting her return from her month off...).
i came home and got down to business and then decided since it was raining i'd have a little down time and watch some of the shows i had downloaded of the interweb....have you seen nurse jackie? pretty good...i know it's k-win approved and i'm giving it a thumbs-up as well...i also watched a documentary that was filmed in and around 2000 about the band my morning jacket, and their first real tour outside of their hometown in kentucky. good stuff too....
then i thought i better leave the house...so i rode my bike down to the island and saw the garbs and the kids at jj bean...it was a bit muggy after the rain but still good to get out and see what's what...i also rode by headquater and saw ricardo....tonight's it's grilled cheese and soup...i do like soup...
