ebay heats-up and the fleet gains a new player

the e.mails regarding the toys i have put on ebay have been many and often...so many questions - some good, some thoughtful, some interesting, some just fucking stupid..."i live in vancouver as well and could give you $XXX.00 canadian today for ...." this in regards to a toy i having a starting bid of $XXXX.00 american for....a similar toy sold for more than that less than a week previous....and now in ebay they list the number of people waiting in the weeds looking and watching your auction...all very exciting...or not. soon i'll be packing up stuff and sending it off to parts beyond...
on the motorcycle front...there has been some great interest in that venue as well but nothing has happened yet...and sometimes i find it all very strange. only one or two other people have ridden that bike since i have owned it - close to 2o years - and now a couple more have in the past week...one a friend of sara's who loves the bike a great deal and if he could would be handing over some cake right now, or would have already, and would be riding away from here right now...or have done so...another a guy who is an actor on an ABC show who found out about the bike and just needed to see it...so there i was today at a house in shaunessey - big fucking house - watching a guy i had seen on tv - on a show i actually like - ride away on my bike wearing my helmet...nice guy. just seemed kinda surreal. after we had talked for a bit i told him i had to get going and he jokingly said i wasn't allowed to...that i had to leave the bike there...i left anyways. i had shit to do.
one of which was picking up my new - well new to me - lawn mower from dan...dan has no need for a mower anymore so he passed on his craftsman mower to me...i, in return, gave him a couple nice bottles of wine...good deal i think...thanks dan!
tonight was about home made mac and cheese that didn't turn out that well but was still very good...looked wrong, tasted great....and sitting around reviewing some of my ebay action and drinking god's drink - lemonade.
