the big weekend gets even bigger....

it's been not stop action this long labour day weekend...yesterday three lawns and a lawn order tattoo - my leg is some kinda sore..but a good sore...i guess..this morning the busy began early.
i met-up with muc - who's in town from smithers for a wedding and couple meetings - and we made our way to cafe de soeil for some breakfast - i don't know how they can call it breakfast if there's no meat involved but it was still ok...and nice to have a some snacks with mina, brent, muc and little tai...i told tai to, in future, eat meat like a champ. that and learn to be handy....my two pieces of advice for the little fella.
after breakfast muc and i headed out to se what we could see - and he needed to go to the gap to buy some gonch...so after a quick visit to granville island to see the garbs and get a coffee we headed downtown in search of gonch. mishi came over and met us at the gap and said her hellos to muc. after the hellos it was time for me to cut some grass.
yup...more lawns today. four to be exact. and i was happy to cut in this weather. it's kinda nice to have the wind and a little bit of moisture in the air - i got it all done after the rain had stopped and it was just grey out...the wind picked up but it was no bother...it was a good day for cutting.
a quick shower at the yard and i was out again in larry to go get mishi and head to crazydale to look at clothes and just hang out...which included fish and chips - something i have been craving for some time now - at a place 'he who can not be named on the blog' had alerted me to a few months, or more, ago. good stuff..and even better yet because the older couple who was there right before us were reading the new york times sunday edition which has the sunday magazine in it...and there it was just sitting there and i knew somehow, i was getting my filthy hands on it..i love that magazine. i used to steal it from meinhardt when they used to get it there. when they left i got up and took it...i have it here now so i know what i'll be reading tomorrow morning....life's little victories...
mishi and i cruised around and after looking at a few shirts for the garbs and a new bed for them, it was time for me to get home and get ready for hockey at 7 o'clock...and it was a great night for hockey. it felt like hockey on the way there. a little rain, some wind, just chilly enough. and i was happy in the knowledge that muc was going to be out on the ice with us... and me. he brought his gear with him so it made tonight just that little bit better and kinda special. he's a great friend and i love having him around.
ok...and ella is still doing well at the hospital and probably looking forward to doing some bowling....go ella.
