when's ham not ham...?


well, i guess the technically we didn't have ham - ham being (generally) cured or smoked and then you doctor it up...) - at the shop today - we had pork ...a nice pork hock or roast or...but with bone in...a little seasoning, olive oil, button mushrooms, sausage (kilbasa), white wine added in the last hour to make a nice sauce, some yams and potatoes thrown in that wouldn't fit in the scalloped yams and potatoes dishes - as we had those as well...a recipe that got four forks on epicurious.com. it all turned out fairly well, the boys ate it like it was ok, so i have to believe it was ok...then it was off to ethical bean for a little coffee and sit down in the sun outside...all very civilized as my co-worker steve says as he eats the thursday lunches.

bringin the jingus home every thursday.. i love it. big smile.
