trading shit in, looking for more....

a while back i went through my books deciding which ones to get rid of or pass on...well, they've (the ones hitting the bricks) been sitting at the front door for over a month so yesterday was the day to get rid of them...i recently lent out a few books to katherine, including part of a trilogy by richard ford, but was missing the first in that series - as i lent it to 'he who can not be named on the blog' and it got eaten by his apartment - so i thought i'd trade in the books i had for a new/used copy of the sportswriter by ford...easier said than done. i traded in the books at mcleans, where i ran into my pal rodney who used to be a big wheel at granville book company....but they didn't have any ford...so off to chapters. no ford. then after a nice coffee with shauna at artigiano, i headed across the bridge to duthie's on west fourth - as they're open later and i wanted to go for a walk...but when i got there at 6:08 p.m. they were closed early for end of the month inventory....so, no ford for me. today i will continue my quest.

ok. have a great sunday.
