as a kid i watched evel knievel jump, and attempt to jump buses, canyons and fountains...he was the man...long before people started calling people, 'the man', he was the man. in his later years he battled various ailments and in the end was a frail man and a shell of his former self...but in my mind he was always the guy who tried to jump the snake river canyon in a rocket motorcycle thing...so great.
evel died today.
