good grub with jen with one N and more frame action.

when i was helping ricardo with the headquarter store in richmond, i asked him one day where he thought the best mexican food in vancouver was....without hesitation he said Salsa and Agave on pacific near davie street. i have been trying to get there for a while now - mishi and i went there last monday but found out they're closed that day- so today i mentioned this to jen with one N and we decided we'd try if for late breakfast/early lunch...(i'm not a fan of the word brunch...but don't mind linner as a word for between lunch and dinner...) i walked over and met her there and i'm here to tell ya, it gets a full thumbs up...i really should come up with a rating system for mexican joints...if i had such a system, Salsa and Agave would get a eight out ot ten burritos on the ten burrito scale...loved it. their menu may be the next menu i work my way through. you should check it out...
after our lunch jen with one N headed off to do whatever she was off to do and i headed off to look at more eye glass frames. i had seen some ray ban frames on line i liked and found out granville optical carried them locally but when i got there they only had three frames by ray ban, which didn't include the ones i had seen on line...hhmmm. ok then it was off to a couple more downtown stores before i headed off across the bridge to granvile and 12th, home of Eyes On Twelfth, as don bullski had suggested i take a look there....
the frames i wanted to see there weren't there, well, that's not true entirely, they were only there in sunglasses so...i had a little look around and i think, maybe, i may have found the winners...or at least the lead horse in this eye glass race thus far. light, yet solid, matte black - which i really like - nice hardware, hinges that bend out as well as in to fold, wide enough for my big noggin, no insignia or logo on the side... i like 'em. but i'm gonna take someone else up there for a second, maybe third, opinion...
then it was off to granville island for a coffee with the garbs and a little visit at the pickle before heading back across the bridge for my haircut date with k-win, world's greatest hair chopper....nice. i really like getting my hair cut...thanks k-win.
megan's on her way over here to make me dinner as a thank-you for me letting her use my place as a home office while she was looking for a job recently...roast chicken, i think, will be the dinner tonight with some sort of homemade pie - she has recipes from her days working at savary island ie company....
ok...rock on.
