breakfast with the ladies and good times with the bikers.

it was a busy day this sunday was. it was my only day off this week and i had all sorts of big plans...i didn't do many of them though...i was gonna go buy those powder blue vans-but i didn't. they're on sale because, i think, no one else would dare wear them...i was gonna go to the gym and do some of the exercises the doctor at UBC sports medicine told me to do to help get my ankle back in shape..but i didn't...
what i did do was...fix marcy's flat tire-which included me having to go to the drive and buy a new tube for it...no biggie. i ran into my old biking pal ryan there...sorta funny really..we used to ride together and there i was fixing a bike tire..ok..maybe not that funny. i had breakfast in west van with the network and all the fancy west van ladies...they're entitled and they're fancy...we then went and looked at some of the bikes at the gastwon show and shine-an event i could never be a part of..it wierds me out....but it was fun looking and having a few laughs at others expense. we ran into daisley there..he had a nice hat on. went by voltage to see the kids there...i like those voltage kids...a good pair they are...then i went and saw garbs on granville island...and i had to get the hell outta there...then it was off to scratch records to pick-up the new thom yorke cd...he of radiohead..keith had left it here for me...and i was crashing hard by this point and needed to go and get a coffee...i saw camille at jj bean and she introduced me to the new manager...like he's gonna remember me...or care...and then i ended up in yaletown...why or how i do not know...what the fuck was i thinking?..then my phone indicated that i had a message. it was brady from zulu wondering if i could help them with the recycling..sure, why not? a few cd's for taking the paper away...? no problemo.
i ran the paper and cardboard to the transfer station and then corie called and asked if i wanted to go to Lolita's for dinner, a mexican joint on davie street..it was jammed so we headed over to guu on robson and the network us there...the food's pretty good there...mishi's brother, who had just gotten back from japan, was walking by and came over and gave us the lowdown on his trip...
after dinner i went and did a little grocery shopping and headed home to do a little housecleaning...which i have now done...and soon...bed...now that's a day off...

back at it tomorrow....
