will ferrell, john law and my pal andre

interesting night out with corie. we decided to go see the new will ferrell movie 'stranger than fiction' so i trucked over to tinseltown and bought tickets beforehand and met corie at wild rice for a drink and a snack before we went to the show. while in the pop corn line i/we realized we were stading right next to andre 3000 from Outkast...now normally i don;t care really about celebs but...when you're standing next to a guy who wrote and performed probably the biggest selling single in the last ten years...pretty cool.
afterwards we came back here and i gave corie the mexican beaded dunny he had bought off me ages ago and then he decided we should go to topanga for margaritas...um..ok. i called the garbs and he came along for cake..of shich there was none so he had an empinada...there were only a few people still there when we got there, one of which was don bull...we chatted with him, made fun of him and then he left...there were some gilrs having a birthday party of sorts over in the corner and by us was a woman sitting by herself...were laughung and carrying on and then she got up and started getting her stuff together to leave. i told her i was sorry that we were driving her way,..she said no.. and i said i was sorry and said she should join us for a margarita..she declined and said she had to go and mentioned that it was her first time there...i tried to convince her to stay but she fled the scene...
then, a few minutes later, she came back in the topanaga and joined us for a beverage...turns out she actually works on granville island right near the pickle...as a painter for the arts club..we had a few laughs and sent her on her way...it was funny...penelope from winnipeg. i think she may be a bit of a hippy.

we drove corie home and then the garbs and i headed across the granville street bridge towards his place...then...the roadblock...a real, cops toting booze breath machines road block...uh-oh...i was fine and told the woman copper that i had had a drink at the topanga...she asked me, very nicely, to oull over and that i would be giving a breathe sample...good times...i blew 000...nothing...nada...good times indeed....i have never done that test before ever...and i passed forst time out...where's my gold star?

now i'm sleepy...night night..
