as k-win pointed out, after i made mention of some good stuff coming down the pipe, the band of horses new album, infinite arms, is due out may 18
th as well, so keep an eye out for that all of you who like the
eastcoast/slightly southern fried
stoner/indie/
counrty rock. or something.

i was just listening to the new bill
callahan album as well - you may know him better by his former name, or band name, smog...it's a live album - how seventies/early eighties of him...look for it...rough travel for a rare thing.
another thing i have latched onto, not in a huge way but like enough that i asked
ailsa last night if she wanted to hear my new favorite song - so high school -
dear god by
monsters of folk..it's so great...super soulful. it may make you cry...just
sayin'.
ok.

i finished the wire yesterday...with a huge
shoutout and thank-you to
damon for lending me the entire five seasons on
dvd so i could just relax and make my way through them....in the end, for me, i think it's a decent cop show but didn't live up to all the hype that had been thrown my way about it...or that of critics on line. i won't go into a huge
dissertation about it here but suffice to say, i thought it was limited.
i'm glad i saw it, absolutely, but...it's no deadwood.
dinner tonight at
issy's where i think she's cooking an
easter bunny...should be good...nice to
issy and hang out.
have fun.
