we slept in kinda late and as a result didn't get out of the hotel - which has turned-out to ok as far as we're concerned (it had been given some rather horrible reviews on-line...) until almost one-thirty p.m.
we then walked and walked and walked...oh, and had a subway ride in there as well. one of our subway rides was ended before it even started - on the way back to the hotel tonight someone, a woman we think, fell off the subway platform and, well, who knows what happened next. i do know we were told to get off of the train by the cops and had to go up and take a bus the rest of the way.
today was a shopping day - sort of, and tomorrow will be more of an art day as we're gonna hit the MOMA and see what's what there.more as it develops.
