fuck...

i had a long blog all written out. and then firefox decided to crash. and lost everything...and it oh fuck it.

the cliff notes.

garbs and i picked-up a super heavy carrot cake yesterday for mishi's birthday.
coffee on the island. saw the two lindays - lyndsay and lindsay and daper chris.
had some chicken soup.

the garbs with some flowers for mishi.

the garbs rockin' mishi's paul frank sunglasses...

went and looked at the open house at the mantra with corie. the pics i took are from above, obviously, my deck.

my new alley.
my deck is the one just left of the huge deck...you can't see all of it but...

picked up he 'who can not be named on the blog' at his place to take him to my place to lend him my element because he lost his keys to his car and needed to get to langley.
then off to district, another new open house development thingy, to say hello to muna the young woman who helped with the mantra. picked her up, literally, took her outside and then left.

chad gives me the love.

as does bill.

chad and bill outside sanitary electric.

then off to chad's sanitary electric tattoo to meet up with chad and the world famous bill baker who was in town for a few hours. literally. he's off to the states today and then maybe over to victoria for a while. short while. then back to toronto. he had e.mailed me friday and had asked if i was gonna be around sunday and wanted to see me. i love that guy.

jimmy.

issy and jimmy...

then it was off to issy's for some turkey dinner...and to see the new pooch jimmy. good food, issy was awesome as usual and then home as i was gonna pass out. i love issy.

ok.

i'm gonna have a day off. i think i'll just go and roam the streets.

by the way that's a nice hat

i think there's a good chance i've put my glasses through the wash...i'll know more in about seven minutes. nice.
up early again this a.m. as there were lawns to cut and hockey games to be played...after my coffee i headed down to cut my first lawn in the 70th and marine area...then to the west end for one more - then a quick stop at the capers on robson to...well, i had to go there...then to west van for two more lawns...
then it was time to play some bomber hockey at 10:45 a.m....that didn't go as well as we, maybe, had hoped - although we did rally from 3-0 to bring it back to 3-2 but fell short in the end...i love bombing!
then back to mowing...back to west van, then to kits for one, then shuffled up to 38th and dunbar to shake hands with a lawn there...and after a quick-ish cut and nice chit chat with the owner i was off to 30th and fraser to cut elizabeth's lawn...and hey, i thought while i was in the 'hood i'd cut two more at 28th and st. george..and c'est fini...or something.
i'm a little tuckered out i have to say...but it's a good tired...
now it's time for dinner...not here - there's no food here...but i know where there is...

and now about them glasses.

best of the blog pt. 4?

crackers and drug king pins.

I gotta tell ya, if I was a stoner – and I have been known to have a pull or two – I’d be all set-up at home with a bag and a bong and be endlessly surfing the new Google street view pics…that is some crazy shit. You really should check it out. And if you don’t know about it here’s the drill. Go to Google, click Google maps, enter and address you like to see, and then when the map comes up and you see the little upside down tear drop shaped flag, click on it. And then there will be another window indicating that you can see a picture of the street or the address you’ve selected. So fucked. And you can scroll around, look down the street, etc…excellent bud action. Of course not everything is there, but they’re working on it I’m sure.

What’s up with my cards? I didn’t see the game last night as I was out playing hockey with the bomber selects. We have a friendly game every second Thursday and last night was such a Thursday. I love the Thursday night hockey – I get to bed a bit late but it’s worth it…

Oh, the cards. They lost again last night putting them down two games. Come on Tony, get those guys going. It doesn’t look good.

At the store today I picked-up a box of the arrowroot baby cookies…fuck I love those things. Dip ‘em in yogurt or eat ‘em as is..A treat to be sure. Trouble is, like Ritz crackers, before you know it you’ve eaten an entire bow – which I haven’t done but I’m on the edge.

The long weekend looks steep to say the least. Seven or eight lawns, possible two hockey games, dinner out, dinner in, etc…I’m gonna knock off a lawn at lunch today, which isn’t included in the weekend totals – I blew away a couple at lunch yesterday as well…including that of Donald Macpherson local drug dude. Well, not drug dude in a bad way, drug dude is a very good way. We spoke yesterday as I took a break from cutting his grass – on my lunch hour – and he’s very interesting and just a great guy overall. We seem to share many of the same ideas about what needs to be done on the downtown east side, he of course, much more active in getting it done and having the ears on him so he can get shit done…or so he’s been trying. And he’s got a good lookin’ lawn.

Ok. Back at it.

I love you.
